Bridgestone Alenza 001
With summer now here and as we start to plan those holiday road trips, it’s important to take into consideration the condition of our tyres. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Bridgestone Alenza 001, which has been designed around the bourgeoning SUV sector. Bridgestone have developed a market leading performance tyre for the open highway and SUV vehicles such as the BMW X5, Mercedes Benz GLE and Porsche’ Cayenne and we think they have nailed it!
The Alenza 001 has outperformed its predecessors the Dueler and Ecopia brands to fit nicely within Bridgestone’s highway touring tyres for SUV’s in a range from 215/65R16 to 285/45R22. With better braking and handling in both wet and dry conditions the Alenza 001 can be broken down into two compounds that make up the new tyre block structure. A combination of Silica and Polymer give exceptional handling in all driving conditions as well as an overall 11% increase in wear life. The tyre held up in testing and was achieved with an air pressure of 230kpa or 33psi over 10,000km.
